Where to start..

Hey guys,

So, I've decided next summer I want to try to get some dressage lessons. Nothing real serious I just want to have fun.

Can anyone recommend things I can start to train now to help myself, and my horse? This is the first horse I've ever really trained from the ground up, and I've never even ridden english until I got him.

Also, If I am just doing this for fun do you think I will have to use a bit? My horse is fine in his bosal or side pull.

More than anything I would suggest working out! I'm sure you are already pretty fit from riding, but dressage takes some serious muscle! This is a site that I saw advertised at the US Dressage Championships

Thank you!!! =]
I really should work out but I'm lazy. I have decent core strength and my job is very active. I really hate going to the gym.. I do have a membership though, so I GUESS IF I HAVE TO! SHEEESH. =p
