Tell that person unless you ask for advise, you don't need their help nor advice. Do things your own way, it's your horse.

I find that everyone has a different opinion about abuse. I have smacked(with my hand) my horse on his bum showing a friend how dusty he was and was told that was abuse. For me a whip is an extension of my hand and that's it but, I have never had to do more then that and don't judge people who do unless it truly is abuse and they are beating the crap out of their horse.

That's the first thing that your post said. I was just making it clear that I didn't have to tap him with the whip the entire, because I thought maybe I didn't explain it right in the post or something. I wasn't trying to be rude..Just explaining. Lol

Exactly. I smack my horse on the shoulder/neck if he acts up. I'm sure that I could be ridiculed a million times over just for that post. I also spank children when they deserve it. But if I ever saw someone actually abusing any kind of animal,or any child, I would beat the crap out of that person. I actually own a dog who was abused before I got her. I give her all of my love and affection, but she still gets in trouble when she does something bad. She's not afraid of me or my family at all. The only people she's scared of are men & strangers.
