Nice expression on that horse. He looks open; curious. He's not bothered by people and that reflects well on the handler. He does look a little confined/cramped for space being in so close to you. It looks like he's trying to not bump into you but all a person would have to do would be give him enough room to stretch his body out and move his head around comfortably and I bet he'd look even better. I'll accomplish that with my horses by just standing behind their shoulder and draping my arm over their back if I want to be in close while we're standing there. That way he'll learn to stand there with me and get comfortable and stand still, which is what I'd want when I go to mount someday.
