Dakota... I'm learning how to love you :)

I rode today and it was one of my best lessons, especially since my friend came to watch and film! I was really happy when I saw the videos because I've been working so hard on staying back and not jumping ahead and stuff... so I've come a long way.

As it says in the end of the video, I think this song really reflects how I feel about moving on from Ricky (the pony I rode for three years and had an amazing bond with) and sort of opening up to Dakota... I can still miss Ricky, but I can learn to love Dakota, too.

No critique for now, please. I'd like a few days to feel good about myself and my progress. Then I'll upload some plain clips with no effects and some still frames and post them in the critique section. :)

Enjoy!

I'd also like to mention that this is the first song I've found that makes me think of Ricky that doesn't make me cry. It's kind of like a moving on song instead of a looking back / missing someone song. So it's kind of helping me understand things with Ricky and how it's okay to move on and learn to love a new horse without forgetting him.

Every ride, good or bad, teaches you something new.

Ya'll look pretty dang good to me. He looks like a sweetie.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

I'm sorry......I do have a critique! That was a very touching video and all....but it made me tear & choke up!

Keep on doing what you are doing, girl. You ride beautifully and Dakota looks to be a lovely horse.

Horses are God's apology for men.

I haven't ridden him since last wednesday. xD I only get one lesson a week. Glad you enjoyed it!
