Smile Dressage Competition (LB3)

I only had 2 days to practise and he was very stiff, because we thought he was limping, but he was actually faking it! xD So the vet said I can go to the competition, no problem.

So without much practice I think we did pretty well! :)
We got 63,75% which is 204 points out of 350. We rode the LB3 program, dressage.

I accept comments and critique, but be nice.. :)

The one thing that stuck out the most to me was the tendency for your hands cross over the withers. It appears that your hands are very low and close to your crotch so that when you want to use your inside rein there isn't anywhere to bring it back so you cross it over to the outside.

Your horse is very cute! He looks like he's in a bit of a rush sometimes and trying to anticipate your moves, but maybe that was because he hadn't been ridden much before hand? I just love the way he looks .

Yes I kind of noticed that myself, with the hands.. x)
The judge also wrote in my critique that i should 'gather' him more together, I'm not sure how this is called in english.. But to do that i usually have shorter reins, and then I dont need to cross over at all.. :)

I had to sit completely still because I was so scared of making a movement that will accidently make him gallop or something, because he was so fresh! xD But thanks alot for the advice! :)

Wow, I thougth you rode really well! About halfway thru you could see he was distracted, but you collected him nicely. I saw your hands cross over once, if the judges caught that they don't like.

But I had to watch it a couple of times to find anything at all wrong, and I am terribly critical.

You did great, I enjoyed watching you ride.

Thanks alot!! You'd probably find a couple of things wrong if it was closer up, but my dad (who filmed me) didn't zoom in because then the camera goes all blurry and bad quality, and you wouldn't be able to see anything anyway.. o.o
