The only problem with WMM is that if you don't have a TON of available memory on your PC, it will freeze and not work properly. Once your movie gets long enough, or has too many transitions, you have to save it, then reimport what you have, then start up again. It can be a pain. We got a Mac a couple years ago, and I haven't had any of those problems with imovie. But you can make decent videos with WMM once you play with it a bit. Most of my first vids were made that way.
