My daughter (Kayla) on the Haflinger and her friend (Shea) on the paint mare. The Haflinger is 5 yrs old, just learning how to jump. The paint is a 10 yr old lesson horse. Both girls are 11 yrs old.
I know Shea needs to work on keeping her leg back and elbows bent. I know Kayla needs to work on keeping her legs back. Both girls need more heels down over the jumps. They're progressing well though, getting better every ride. Shea has to fight her saddle for position. It's one of those cheapy starter package saddles... Kayla is riding in her dad's saddle, which is 1" too big (her saddle doesn't fit the Haffie). Santa is brining her a new saddle for Christmas ;-).
