Unhappy Horse abuse

I recently went on a Farm call with my trainer (also a vet) to euthanise a horse. I had to hold the horse while she injected her. The horse was very skinny and couldn't get up so she had to put it down. This made me so sad and as I looked at the other horses, though they weren't gross, they were slender (except one really fat pony) and there was no shelter.

A long time ago, I made this video as a kind of PSA.. I'm not sure if I've posted this before or not, but here it is anyway:

That is terible. Was the owner reported? And is there no way that the owner could be monitored so it doesnt happen again?

She told them everything they needed to fix... The hay, feed, shelter, and blankets. She said if they didn't get those things fixed they'd be reported. The people weren't trying to hurt the horses, they were just ignorant and going through a bad time. They seemed genuine and I think they're going to get their horses what they need.

It's always sad to see horses not being cared for well; lets hope that these poeple try to make the lives of their remaining horses more comfortable. Is the vet going to keep following up and offering her help?

Yes she is. I think she's going to make sure they've got the new feed and hay within the week and she's going to make sure they follow through with getting a shelter. They really seem like they love their horses.. The mare that died was a thoroughbred and the others are paints I believe, so I think they'll have an easier time feeding the remaining horses as long as she gives them all the info and such.
