I had a little problem at first: Ocelot had scared with blue tents, so he missed the first jump . But I have the third best time ! I'm surprised because he's a French trotter, and he doesn't trots much !
How bazarre that they would put a tarp like that in the ring. Too bad your horse was distracted. You did a good job of trying to show the horse the tarp before going on course. Oh, well.....
You two looked quite good, but I would try to balance the horse more on the turns. When starting to jump this high, I would suggest getting your horse's shoes drilled and tapped for caulks (studs), and put at least road caulks in for extra traction on the turf. Your horse took a bad slip, at one point. A horse will learn to really back off on turf, if you don't help him address slipping. Just be aware, caulks are a pain to maintain.
Unfortunately, the zoom on the camera was all out, so can't see well enough to really appreciate the ride.
Congrats on the good ride, overall!!
BTW, If you are interested in any other suggestions, let me know as you did not post this in critique section.
Oh sorry, I think you misunderstood me. I had the third best time, but when I head for the first jump, Ocelot misses it. So, the jury took into consideration my mistake ...
Allison Finch: thanks for your comment! But my horse hasn't got shoes :?
