    Memories.....good and sad ones!

The owner of the stallion I am riding in my avatar posted this video today. It is of the father of the horse In my avvie. He was Abdullah, a fabulous Trak stallion that was a huge winner, in his day. Lil Ab, the horse I showed, looked and jumped just like his dad. Watching it made me miss Ab ever so much. I was so lucky to have had this brave horse in my life.

Fine horse! He really seems so brave and sensible. Like there's a human inside. Reincarnation?

Ab was unusually intelligent. And, he loved a challenge. He was not a fan of dressage and would moan while doing it. He tolerated it because he knew if he was good, I would pop him over a couple of jumps as a reward.

When it came to jumping, he loved a challenge there, too. The tighter the course, the bigger the jumps, the more he loved it. I almost couldn't set a distance he couldn't do or a turn he couldn't make.

I know Abdullah was somewhat like that. He didn't like dressage much either. He started as an eventer, but went into the jumper ring because of his distaste of the dressage phase.
