Murray jumps =]

So today, after the farrier trimmed up Murray's toes my sister and I took him out for a ride.

I made the jumps low for murray to get use to them. Here are two vids for you to enjoy.

Can you hear his tooting? Haha. Oh, and he has a werid cough but is perfectly fine.

After each jump, he cantered! That was my first EVER canter on him and boy, was it fun! haha.

He's looking nice and healthy! But I'd get that cough checked he on hay? Might consider rinsing it, sometimes dusty hay can make a horse cough like that!

And I know those jumps were barely bigger than trot poles...but you've never cantered him before? Isn't that jumping a step? I always thought you worked your way up to jumping...not start there?

EveningShadows: Thank you! He is on hay (with grain). I will check to see it is being rinsed just in case along with the cough. He does seem fine, but he never coughed last year when I first got him.

Also, yes I think walk, trot, jumps THEN canter seems like missing a step. I'm just happy he cantered for me. Now to work on that canter on the flat only. =]

morganshow11: Haha, yeah. We have another horse with a cough (he's on meds for it) and he doesn't even sound like that! Thanks!

I thought that if it's dusty in the arena, and a horse coughs, he's just clearing his airways?
