I recently bought a digital camera with HD video, the only problem is that the videos wont work on my computer. It will import, but everytime I click on it or try to put it into Windows Movie MAker, it says ERROR and stuff...Any help?
Not totally sure, but my guess would be that your computer sin't compatible with HQ, and you're pretty much screwed. Can you return the camera? How old is your computer?
I'm not an expert at video- I work with photos more- try checking your software and make sure the camera's video and your computer's video player are compatible.
Mine did the same thing too. I googled the question, how do I format my videos so I can edit on moviemaker? The answer came up & I downloaded it and there you go.
I honestly giveup. I;ve tried two different converters, and 3 different cameras and nothing is working right. It'll work for pictures, but not video clips.
I know you're not supposed to giveup, but I have tried 4 cameras now, tried updating Windows Movie Maker, and tried downloading a new Codec, but my computer detected a virus, and wouldn't complete the download...So...maybe I should just stick to photography since it does work on my computer...:(
