Hello. I agree with you. We are a therapeutic riding center and a horse rescue. We've only rescued two horses, but we have only been in operation for a month and a half. One of our rescues was so badly abused that you couldn't touch him without him bolting. I've worked very hard with him. He is always the first horse to come up to new people. Everybody likes him the best out of our 4 horses. Our other rescue is just coming around. She was also badly abused. She has just now started to show signs of trusting anybody in the past week. I've tried very hard for her to trust me. She wants to trust. There's just something holding her back. I love our rescue horses, but it is so hard and expensive to bring them back to health (both mentally and physically).
