Riding Pistol

So got a video of me riding my boss's stallion Pistol... please excuse how bad I am lol im getting used to the way he has been trained. Your cues have to be perfect to get him to do something. Im just used my little trail horse bailey who is just point and go HAHA. My ribs are still killing me from riding pistol and useing diffrent muscles that I don't use when riding bailey. Now for the video.

I couldn't get the second video to work and just scanned the first. He' s cute and you didnt' ride so poorly. He looks like he's a whiff off in his front right, but again, I didn't watch the whole video.

OK. Looking at that second video I think he IS off on the front right. Look for the very few spots you were trotting, and even when you walk off, after the canter, which, by the way, he cantered right on a left lead most of the time.

I think you might shorten your stirrup one, myabe. You seem a bit canted forward, almost as if you are "hovering" over the saddle a bit, which might make you a bit insecure at the canter because any slowing or dodging he might do, however slight, would make you fall forward as a result of already being just a hair in front of your true vertical balance.

He is off a bit I think he needs his feet done :(.... Thank you for helpin me out :} im trying realy hard to get used to cantering and im just starting to not bounce as much as I did when I first started. At some points because im a stupid head lol I was standing in my stirrups and was trying to let my knees ... bend I guess you would say... so I wouldnt bounce around alot if I start bouncing I start to go into panic mode so idont know if you can see it but I was holdng onto the horn at some points. I have only had one lesson.on cantering and it was only for 5 mins, so I've been tryin to work on what im doing wrong lol its hard when I don't have a coach. I hope eventually I can do things right when riding but I know im slowly making progress. Maybe one day id be good enough to go into a show :/
