She's HOME!!! Yay for Candi

Hey everyone.
Candi came home yesterday.
I have to say since about a month ago when she was still at the trainers, I had noticed that her spirit was lit up in her eyes! She had the "happy" eye.
When she returned yesterday and heard my voice while still in the trailer she let out a big Whinny! I put her into her into her new paddock w/shelter. She is actually next to the same mare that she was next to in the barn so I am sure that was good to have a falmilar horse.

She settled in quickly and took a big roll in the mud.

Later in the afternoon my trainer and I got sme tack things figured out and we took her to the indoor arena to lounge her. We ended up leaving as there was a teenagere taking a dressage lesson and another person working horses in there for the HJ trainer. Candi was a bit excitable in there.

So we went to the outdoor round pen and lounged there. She settled in pretty quick. She does let out a few buck on the lounge line but then settles down and is great undersaddle.
We didn't get on yesterday but later this week.

Anyhow here are two short clips of her...

She's stunning!! I'm SO happy she's home!

One thing that did catch my eye on the first video - whenever she swaps leads behind (crossfires) she starts to buck; I'm wondering if there isn't something out of line in her back or something like that.

She was pretty darn hot yesterday! I will have to go back and look to see. She was a bit out of her element.
But that could be a possibility due to how thin she is, and not a fitted saddle.
I will feel much more confident in her gaining weigh now that I can have her under my eye.
Also on the 18th of march the saddle fitter is coming. Yay for that!
I am getting a Custom Saddlery Wolfgan Solo long roll. It will be better to have the fitted saddle.
I will go back and look after I eat dinner.
My Dressage trainer lounged her and rode her today!
She was pretty good considering she has never worked in the indoor arena. And the mirrors..

I went back and looked and couldnt really see it. But I don't doubt it. She always has had a silly little way of doing her signature buck and sqeaul.
She was pretty excitable.
Today she did a considerable amount of bucking at first. We let her get it out and then once the side reins were on, that is the end of the bucking. We want her to understand that it isn't play and buck time anymore at that point. She figured it out quickly and actually settled in good.
Then Lindsy got on her and dod some walk and trot. By then it was time to cool her out.
Next time I will watch instead of video! Lol

I am very excited about everything. Thanks a bunch for being supportive!!

Thanks MIE,
I am way excited. It is very cool to have her home! I missed her so much.
The thing that makes me the happiest is the fact that her confidence level has totally come up and her spirit is so alive.
She truly has done a turn around from the scared and upset girl she was when she arrived to me in Oct.
My regular camera is not working well at the moment. But I will try and get more video's soon.

Thanks Honey!
I am totally enjoying having her home. My trainer and I have been working with her daily so she will have a couple days off here on Mon and tues.
She is such a well minded mare.
