SMHS Drill Team - SOHSET Meet One [First Place]

Here's one of the drill teams from the SOHSET meet one. I loved it. South Medford won a lot with their drill last year too and have been very successful many other times and dominate when it comes to state qualifiers. Their team is coached by a friend of the family Val Hackett who has done a pretty good job if I do say so myself!

Nice video. I wanted to comment on something. Horses are dumb about some things. But when it comes to repetitive patterns like this, they are unbelievably smart. I worked at a show in Branson where we did drill team manuevers. Those horses had every move memorized. Not just one position either, you could put any horse in any position and they knew it. They had at least 2 or 3 different "drill team" events each night and they'd do all of them with the reins dropped on their neck

            

Very nice. That looks like so much fun.

My favorite drill teams of all time are Latigo N Lace when is comes to precision, and the Canadian Valley Rangerettes when it comes to speed.
