Lol, I hope so. I was doing really good when I took lessons as a kid, but that was 12 years ago now. So it has been some time. Other than that I have ridden western horses and not all that often, until I got Gizmo. He was english trained so he actually has a trot. So he is good to practice on. I tried to do it bareback one day so I could really get the balance and everything. Yeah... bad idea. His withers hurt! I thought I broke my pelvic bone!

YOu really ride well and your horse looks so trusting and happy. Man, I wish I could ride like that! I don't know how you can ride straight at a ditch or a log wall with utter assurance thaat you 'll go over it . I am very fearful when it come to jumping. There are sooo many people out there really mangling jumping , but you make it look like an artform!

Well that's good! And omg, I used to jump alllll the time bareback on my past 2 horses but I barely do it anymore with my current horse Mouse cause he has shark fin withers! Every once in a while I will jump him over 2'6 courses but I don't go any higher since sometimes we get sucky distants and I land HARD on his back, and he sometimes like to buck with me and I don't wanna fall off his 16.3hh back anymore than I do!

You are too nice :) Mouse has certainly come a long way from when I got him off the track at 4 years old. Luckily he doesnt mind ditches and banks(the log wall for reference) his biggest fear is the water but he is getting used to it now. I remember when ever we would have a "not so nice" jumping distance or he knocked a rail, he would just buck to show his "disapproval".

As for my jumping position, thank you! That's my biggest "insecurity" about when I ride so I'm surprised you think I'm that good! I can only wish I become as good as my trainers as well as the peers I ride with. They make me look like a beginner!!!
