Sunny under saddle-- Finally!

Warning: There is commentary by my very non-horse-savvy parents, so be prepared for silly comments as well as some mild andpossibly offensive language.

This was Sunny's second time moving out under saddle.
I would appreciate no critique, just want to share my happiness in how well-behaved she was!
I have been taking her training very slow. She has short sessions a few times a week, whether it be on saddling, bridling, bathing, ground tying, riding, or whatever I feel like she needs work on. She's had saddles on her since she was a long yearling, and I started backing her when she was a late two-year-old. My next step will be getting her to move out without a handler on the ground.
I have had Sun since she was 21 months old. She turned three April 1 of this year.

Oh, and you will also notice my disgust with my brother wanting to play around when I was in serious training mode.

LOL, brother looks rather un-impressed.

Sunny is looking great, taking everything in stride. You've done a great job with her so far .

Sunny is a gorgeous girl! She has a kind eye and some major legs going on! Looks like your doing a great job with her! Keep up the good work. I'll be watching for more updates.

Thank you so much, PD!
She seems to grow an inch every day!
I had been using a mounting block just for the ease on her, but the other day I tried to get on from the ground and physically couldn't!

She looks great, and it's just so nice to see someone taking it nice and slow and easy. The fact that she is so calm and accepting of everything shows that you are going at a good pace for her. Congratulations on a great job, keep going at the same pace and you will benefit for ever from it.

Thanks so much!

You guys have no idea how great it feels to have positive feedback.
She is my first horse to train by myself, so it is nice to know I'm on the right track. :)

Way to go! I understand your excitement, I'm currently starting my little girl too.

I know you didn't ask for a critique or anything, but I just wanted to point out that your saddle has slid very far back on Sunny. I hope you don't mind me mentioning it!

I don't mind you saying so at all, because I completely agree with you!
I noticed it as soon as I started looking at the pictures. -embarrassed-

I think it happened when I was messing with the saddle before I got on. I always flap around the leathers and pull and push on the saddle to get her used to the movement. I imagine that's when it happened.

Great job with her! She acted like she's done that a thousand times before!
Great work!
