I disagree. There is little of the real partnership and flow that Gal had with Totilas. The transitions were quite poor, despite the scoring. At times it looked as if the horse was going from one "trick" to another...especially in the passage/piaffe.
I hope their partnership builds, but I found this ride disappointing, personally.
There does seem to be a bit more of the "automatic" feel than his big ride at WEG. He seems to be doing more flailing with his front legs than before.
But, he is still fantastic and who am I to critisize?
I'm no Dressage expert, but he doesn't appear to be using his back end at all - I found it really noticeable in the extended trot at the beginning. He has a lot of flash and pomp going on up front, but doesn't seem to be "backing it up" so to speak. Am I correct in this observation?
