11 y/o WB X TB for Lease- FL

Due to moving for school we're looking for a possible lessee for Zeus. We're located in Tampa/Odessa right now, and I will be moving to Gainesville in August. We're looking for someone in our area, Gainesville, or Tallahassee who would be looking to lease a horse for a while. I need time to find a job in Gainesville before I can afford to have him there with me, and this is the only way that I'd be able to keep him. Pretty open to the length of time of the lease, but no longer than a semester I'd think.

Zeus is an 11 year old WB X TB and is a former jumper. He's been doing Dressage for the past year and with the right rider could easily do first level, and probably more with a more experienced rider. He could do lower level hunter/jumper with the right rider as well. He is a great horse to work with. When you ask him right, and set him up properly, he'll do anything for you. He's a great mirror of his rider, and can teach you a lot about how you ride. He is a powerful horse but goes kindly in a french link snaffle, which I'd prefer to keep him in. He also rides mostly off of your seat and body, and doesn't take kindly to unstable hands. That being said, he doesn't have a mean bone in his body and is very in your pocket. He loves to be around people and lives for attention and cookies. One of the best personalities in a horse that I've ever had the pleasure of working with.

Please message me or respond here with any inquiries.

Zeus is safe on the trail, and is not spooky.

    Great trot on him.

    Nice canter as well.

    Loves water!

And puts up with my jumping mistakes like a champ!

Forgot to add! He's great for trailering, the vet, and the farrier. Very well mannered horse on the ground, in his stall, and in the pasture.

Dally- It may be negotiable. What are you looking for in a lease horse? What discipline do you ride, and how long of a lease are you looking for? We want to find the right person, and Orlando really isn't far from me or his owner.

And Jillyan, yes I'm leasing him right now, but have talked to his owner, and she really wants him to stay with me, so we're doing what we have to to make this work. So technically they'd be leasing him from her, but I'd be checking up on him, etc if he's not in Tallahassee with her. :]

Ohhh I see. That is really awesome that you have such a good relationship with them. Do his actually owners ride him at all?

I wasn't specifically looking for a lease, more of a training help or someone who needs their horse broke or riden, so the longevity of the lease doesn't matter.
I do only english, I did some jumper shows, but now I'm more into dressage, and flat work

Dally- Ah, I see, well if you decide you're seriously interested feel free to PM me and I can get you in contact with his owner.
    :]

Jillyan- Yes, she's wonderful! And she does come down to ride when she visits, but we live about 4 hours away so it isn't that often.

Oh, he's gorgeous! I live in Georgia, about nine hours from you, so I couldn't possibly lease him. If he were closer, I would seriously look into it.

Good luck finding someone good to watch after your boy!
