| | 2005 Holsteiner Mare for sale
Arabella is a 5 yr old Warmblood/TB mare. Her mother is a holsteiner mare by Cicero who stood at the Holsteiner verband in Germany. Cicero has 6 approved son in Europe, and his TB dam, Pfancy That, showed through Prix St. George. Arabella's dam, Malibu, was recently sold as a broodmare to Rancho La Querencia, a holsteiner breeding farm in New Mexico. Arabella's sire is a local TB stallion who produces big strong offspring with tons of athletic ability. Arabella is a home-raised mare and was started lightly at 3 1/2 and then turned out for a few months and returned to work again at age 4. At that time she went on many over-night camping trips and day trail rides, and then again turned out for the winter. She is now in full work and has beautiful, forward movement with a great canter. She is light and forward and has smooth gaits. Arabella has recently been started over fences and shows exceptional jumping talent. She is careful and very consistent and is showing an impressive H/J type quality. She grew up with cows and has had experience pushing and sorting. She's a sound mare, with good big feet and has not yet needed shoes. She has really good ground manners and is very sweet. We have many dogs at our barn so she is "dog proof" or dog friendly. Arabella will willingly cross water and ride into irrigation ditches. She's easy within the herd, usually not boss mare and is kind and not "mareish" when ridden in groups.
