Tizian is full sibling to the mare, Tosca II, who is the dam to the popular approved ATA stallion Tribute, who has offspring competing successfully in dressage. This is our first foal out of Samantha at Four Leaf Farm, but her previous owner had a colt by the Trakehner stallion Blitz Und Donner *E* in 2011, and there is video available.
SIRE: Buckle Down Ben was a Graded Stakes Placed thoroughbred stallion. (Devil His Due--Flying Hill, by Flying Paster). Graded stakes winner of $367,743. Won the G3 Laurel Futurity at 2, second in the G3 Holy Bull Stakes and Iowa Derby, third in G2 Remsen Stakes. Buckle Down Ben also is a G1 performer with starts in the G1 Belmont and Fountain of Youth Stakes. His sire has produced some very nice sporthorses. His record is 31-8-7-5. He had an injury in October 2001, and he was "retired" for two years, returning to race in October 2003. He ground out 17 more starts over the next 16 months, and earning an additional $108K the hard way before retiring to stud in February 2005. He started his stud career in 2007, and his first 3 year olds hit the tracks in 2010. As of 2011, he had 34 foals of racing age, and 13 of those have started, and 6 of those have been winners with progeny earnings over $100K. Ben was VERY well bred, with an exceptional mind and character. He was a very, very willing worker, and so intelligent. His canter was exceptional, and he had an AMAZING jump. Unfortunately, he died before he could be re-presented for ATA approval, but this filly is eligible for Preliminary Stud Book inspection regardless, and will be a fantastic broodmare prospect in the future.
"Sweetie" is a fabulous jumper or eventing prospect. She is a large, correct filly with exceptional movement and superior athleticism. She is an outgoing, strong filly, and SUPER attractive. Her "plain brown" wrapper is anything but plain! She is fancy, fancy, fancy! Sweetie should mature to 16.3hh or so. Despite her large size, she is very pretty, as any girl should be!
