Default 8yr/old Grey Arab Mare For Sale!

Reg. Name: Bint Baraca
Barn Name: Baraca
Age: 8yrs
D.O.B.: Febuary 17 2001
Height: Aprox. 15.2hh
Color: Flea-Bitten Grey
Sire: Bassir
Dam: WSF Ms Baraca
Price: $500 OBO OR trade for hay or miniture horse!
Info: Baraca is a purebred Arabian mare. I bought her when she was 3yrs/old from her breeder who had sold her once before and got her back due to poor treatment. Since then she has been hesitant (sp?) around people but she is friendly if you have the patience to gain her trust. She is wonderful mover and is a GORGEOUS Arabian. In the right hands she could be an AMZAING show horse. Since I bought this lovely girl I have made very slow progress with her. But I have riden her a couple of times. She is a proven broodemare and has produced 3 out of 3 beautiful fillies for me. She does well with other horses and has a lead mare dispostion.
Pics:

(shes leaning forward b/c she was about to move she doesnt normally stand like that)

If you have any questions about her feel free to ask :)

Why are her hooves so horrible?

You could always trailer the horse to a farrier?

if she was being shown or something i would make sure she had her feet done but since she is just a pasture horse im not too worried about it because horses in the wild who are no more then just "pasture" horses arent getting their feet done every 6 weeks.

Actually since horses in the wild cover so much different terrain and do a lot of moving THEIR hooves naturally wear down, obviously hers havent... but she's cute otherwise.

I would hope that her babies had their feet looked after, or are they pasture ornaments also ?

Did you even have a vet when she foaled? If so didn't the vet say something, because I know of no vet that would have left the barn without saying something about feet in that condition.

I'm kind of amazed she can walk comfortably... o.0

She's cute, but she's going to go lame if you don't get her feet trimmed asap.

Hoof care is basic care. The first thing I noticed about your girl was that her pasterns look funny. I'm assuming that's because her hooves are in such poor condition.

It concerns me that you've taken a horse that had a bad beginning and you've ignored important health concerns even though you've bred her. It also concerns me to see that you've responded to another ad on this site saying you're interested in someone's yearling.

Horses don't need their hooves done for shows. They need regular hoof care to survive. Wild horses don't get long feet. They wear theirs down because they travel such long distances.

I am sorry to say that I wouldn't take your pretty girl as a free horse because I read your ad as saying she is an untrained, dominant, brood mare who doesn't trust people. I look at the pictures and am concerned about lameness and leg conformation issues.
