Smile 8yr Paint Pony in OR

So my mom has a super goregous friendly pinto/paint pony named buckwheat. He's currently under training, just super friendly and willing to learn. We have already had him saddle and mounted, and he's learning really fast. Would make a really cute cart pony. Asking $2000.00

Can I ask how he is bred? I'll be honest, the price seems a bit steep for a very green cart pony. Do you think he could be turned into a gaming horse with a lot more work? How are his feet? Is he herd bound or barn sour? Have you started him for carting, or just under saddle?

Thanks ;D

The pony has the cutest face! I agree with SorrelHorse about the price.
