OMG I love Fabio... so soft and fluid. He'd probably love the trails too as he seems really easygoing and relaxed.

If you get really impatient, I might suggest that you contact CHERIE, bc she might have something for sale. I would take a horse from her in a heartbeat. There are others here, too, but I feel a kinship for her, so I'm prejudiced.
I agree with Corporals entire post but wanted to point out that boarding isn't a bad thing.. Idk if it was implied or whatever but seriously if you work full time it's hard to take care of your horses at times which is why boarding is amazing. Plus there's a whole herd for your horse to interact with, rather than being by himself....

Also I agree with asking Cherie. She has amazing horses.

Of the ones we know are available, my top three favorites are Max, that big-boned paint I linked to first and Buzz (in that order).

I can't see Fabio or 'Kitty' on their website either - they must have sold them
I like Max and Buzz (subject to how they ride of course but I wasn't sold on the paint so much - but that was more me being stupid and going for a 'pretty' horse - he would probably be perfect. I am terrible at not taking advice myself that I'd give to others!!!

I like the first Arab DHW linked to on the previous page, but he's built a lot like my best friend's Arab gelding and she had to have a $2000 custom saddle made to fit him because nothing else would fit him right. Not sure if B2H would want to have to worry about an expensive custom saddle (or two, if she's going to do English in the arena and western on the trail).

You should contact them to see if he's still available.

I liked the arab and the Morab but I thought they were more projects than get out there and have some fun right away horses - but then that depends on what you call fun, if you enjoy a challenge and how grounded the horse is - I've had youngsters that were absolute saints and I've had older horses like Looby who've been messed around and feel they need to challenge you at every step - at least in the beginning anyway.

Well, after I put my post up on CL re: the "original Arab" to see if I could find the poster's of the ad, the response was CRAZY!

FIRST, almost immediately, I received a call from a woman who offered me like literally NINE CONTACT HORSE owners! She knows tons of people and wants to help me find a horse ...not sure HOW to take it...she's apparently legit, as a local well known vet here works with her and has for 30+ years. She also works with a few rescues, incl the one where I volunteer/ed/will again now that I'm starting new job! Anyway, I've gotta think on lots of info SHE gave me....

Then, I literally have gotten emails all day, "Hello, we don't own the 'Beautiful Arabian', but have a horse for sale... and...AND...." (ITS NUTS! WHO KNEW so many folks are soooo desperate to sell. Actually, it's very sad, because I get the feeling most of these don't WANT TO SELL.)

Anyhow, need to process all of this, and ALL of these horses... getting a bit overwhelming! I think for now, I'm going to systematically eliminate or keep in each horse listed thus far...and start an actual diary with each horse's pic, pros/cons, & vital statistics! (plus of course owner contact info & price)!

OK, but FIRST, MUST get some sleep! G'night guys!! ;0)

I can imagine the responses. Lots of people rather offer their horse to somebody who's looking, especially if the ad is formulated the way you write. I would

Dang it! Why does it have to be so hard to "like" posts from my phone?! Because I definitely like this!

I'm too lazy to move the screen as much as you have to in order to be able to read the full site. Lol.
