Brindle Horse Wanted

Iím looking for a brindle horse. Gender, breed, age, registration status, and training level donít matter. Iíve got a few thousand I can pay for the horse and shipping if needed. Iím not just looking for color, Iíd like it to be at least 14.3 hh, a conformation that will allow it to be ridden, and a fairly docile temperament, current on shots, and a negative coggins. Iíve got 2 other horses so Iím not some inexperienced boob that knows nothing about horses or just looking for an ornament. Iím not looking for breeding purposes although Iím not excluding the possibility if a mare or stud. I have a lot of horse experience and will devise a schedule and routine specific to the horse to insure itís got the best quality of life just as I do for my current horses. Iím not expecting to find anything soon but any information on a horse that fits the description would be checked out and considered. I'm in the united states.

Show me a horseman who hasn't fallen and I'll show you a man who has never truly ridden.

I'm not trying to be rude but you most likely won't get many responses because a majority of the users on the forum, myself included, think it's ridiculous to buy on color alone.

DrumRunner, I'm sure they aren't going to buy the first brindle horse that comes along. Maybe they have always wanted a brindle horse, and are having a hard time finding one so they've posted here to possibly find one. Personally when I am in the market for a horse I will sometimes look for specific colors, as I'm sure others have done as well. I'm not trying to be rude, but I understand where they are coming from when they say they are looking for a specific color rather then a specific breed. Although I am partial to the Arabians others may not care what breed of horse they get as long as they get along. I hope they find exactly what they are looking for!

Brindles horses are rather rare, since I don't think you can actually breed for them. Aren't they considered chimeras?

If you can find one you're going to have to pay a hefty sum, since it's an unusual coloration. Even if the horse is a conformational trainwreck, you're still looking at big bucks.

I'm not looking for color alone. Yea it's the main thing I'm looking for but that's only because I don't care about gender, I know how to train so it doesn't matter if it's broke, I can ride and train in either discipline, and I don't show in breed shows so registration doesn't matter either. That just leaves height and color as important factors. If you actually read my post you'd know that. Everyone has their dream horse and if mine is just a color how does that differ from someone looking for any other horse on vague terms?

Yikes. That foal page is scary! Look at the poor pasterns on that filly. Sure, she has great color, but that doesn't look normal at all and makes me sad. =(
