I agree -- when I was narrowing down horses, it came down to my current buckskin mare vs. a chestnut Morgan. I chose the buckskin...I rode both of them so it certainly wasn't the color I was choosing alone, but even though the buckskin was greener I clicked better with her, liked her personality and calmness, and loved her color ;) So I went with her, and have been blessed that I did ever since!

Just don't close yourself off from other colors if an opportunity to check out another non-buckskin horse arises...you may end up pleasantly surprised at what you'll click with if you leave your options open!

Where are you located by the way? Check out these sites, you can narrow by color too if you want to using the advanced search options...

You know in looking I never noticed it, but you're right, most of the buckskins for sale are large ponies/small horses! Interesting :) Mine's 14.1 so she certainly fits the "large pony" category!
