A TWH gelding I was drawn to about 5 years ago remains for sale. He is 18 now, sound, has a bazillion miles on him, many of those moving cattle. Has had a few hundred riders so pretty tolerant. His price is down a thousand dollars from his younger years. The hitch is it's about a 14 hr drive, and overnight motel, meals and the same return. That pushes the costs up almost another thousand. Now that I've typed this out, the picture has become clearer. It looks like I will be passing him up.
