She rescued Chance. He was needing a new home. His previous home rescued him from a farm. Some people starved him and he was skin and bones. He was tied to a post and was resting his head on the post so he could still stand up.When they untied him he fell to the ground as he was too weak. He had a weanling halter ingrowned in his face so his head is a bit odd shaped. I'm not sure if it's due to the halter or what. He has had abcesses in the past the owner said because of the halter. They had to cut it out of his skin(vet).
My mom took him and he is on alfalfa and is putting on weight. He measures probably about 14.3 hands. I do not know if his growth has been stunted or not. His hooves have been trimmed. Not sure on if he has had his shots. I'm just trying to find a new home for him. He is currently living in a round pen and that's no life for him.
He is a STALLION!
He is very friendly though and loves attention. We are waiting for him to put on more weight before being gelded.
Located in Oregon.
This horse won't be good for a breeding prospect but would make a great trail horse, local shows, local gaming events. A horse to have fun with but would like to see him go to an experienced home since he is a stallion and don't want him being handled by someone who isn't experienced or under the age of 18.
Here are some pictures when we first got him.
