Shyleigh is a beautiful red/strawberry roan Appy filly. She is 19 months. She about 14.2 currently so she will probably be a pretty good sized girl. She leads, ties, loads, and picks up her hooves. She has been lunged lightly a few times and she catches on very quickly. She has been bridled/saddled and is very accepting and curious.
Shy is very calm and smart and a very quick learner. She is too young yet to ride, but she has a great foundation. She is good with other horses. Shyleigh loves attention especially grooming. She is not spooky. She keeps her space well and listens. She is handled daily and has lots of groundwork into her.
She prefers pasture rather than stall. I did have her stalled for about a week and while she doesn't try to get out/kick,etc. she just didn't seem too happy and went off her feed. I put her back out in the pasture and she is doing great again. She is UTD on hoof trims and worming.
I bought Shyleigh as a project horse (before I knew I was actually going to get my mare sequel). 4 horses is too much with a broken ankle and likely surgery, though. SO I am looking for an awesome home! She would be great as a 4-h or something like that horse. I am not selling her as a kid's horse, but I think she would be great with most teenagers. My 14 year old sister handles her easily and she is quite timid with horses.
_____Shyleigh does not go with papers. She is purebred and I have emailed the Appy Assoc. and they said that she CAN be hardshipped in____
I am asking $350.00 for her. I am willing to arrange out of state (or in state) shipping at your cost. I know 2 different transports and both are excellent and very reasonable so I could find you a good deal.
~Thanks for looking~

AB- I emailed the Appy Association and they said they would accept her. There was no mention of spaying. I am not an Appy expert though.....not really my breed so I guess whoever buys her will get all the info I have and decide for themselves. Here is the email I received:

Hi,
If your filly will be a full size horse 14 H+ , has the Appaloosa color , and its characteristics, like white encircling the eyes (Pupils) striped hooves and parti-colored skin, yes she can be registered into our hardship classification with all unknown parents and information.*You can find the forms on our web site.*Go to AApA forms and print the membership form out, than scroll down for page 1, page 2 and page 3, these are the pages for application for registry.* You can fill them out and mail them with the picture and the funds to our office and we will process the application.............................if you have questions or need help filling this all out, give us a call please and we will help you gladly.......................417-466-2046
thank you*** heidi at AApA

The rule book does not let me copy and paste so I will retype a small part of it here (spelling and typing errors are mine not theirs). Section 216 Hardship Registry, paragraph A:
Geldings and spayed mares which do not meet pedigree requirements or are of unknown pedigree will be accepted for registration if they otherwise meet the requirements for Regular registration and are not ineligible for registration as stated in Horses Not Eligible for Registration.
I would just hate for someone to buy her thinking registration is just a matter of papers.

She is in So_Or.

I am only relaying what I was emailed which is what I personally am going to have to go with since I emailed them directly. But as I clearly stated in the first post *She will not go with papers*. She is purebred, but I dont believe the breeder ever filed for the bredding or foal papers. Or maybe she had them and they got lost? I am not sure.

Just to make everything simple for everyone since apparently it needs to be *She has no papers and it will be near impossible to get them* ;)

That way new owner can be pleasantly surprises when they email Appy and they accept her for harship as they have for me.

Regardless of papers which honestly I dont care about she is a very sweet and smart filly that is going to make someone a great partner :)

I was so not trying to say she is not a great horse. Just showing you what the rule book said. I would guess the appy club assumed you would read what the additional requirements for hardship were in the rule book.

Or...maybe they changed that rule and have not updated the rule book online. Could you email them back and ask.
