Free horse to a good home - Ft. Worth area

A friend of mine has an 18 year old grade gelding (we think he's a Standardbred cross of some sort) that she wants to find a good home for. Gus is about 15.3h, bay, good ground manners, sweet boy, average training, been on trails, and seems to prefer female or youth riders. I would not consider Gus a beginner's horse due to his training level and limited riding in the past 2 or 3 years. My friend got him for her husband to ride and he just isn't interested in riding any more. She has another horse and doesn't have the time to ride both so she wants to find a nice home for Gus. Gus has been ridden exclusively Western but it built nicely for an English horse. He is sound and has no health issues other than he is prone to colic if he's fed coastal hay. He's been on alfalfa or brome hay for the past 1 1/2 years and has been fine. If you are intersted, please PM me. I can take pictures this weekend. He's up to date on all shots and Coggins. Good home an absolute must !!!
