It's hard to tell what a horse is worth without seeing it first. It also depends on what the **** has accomplished.
Personally, I think 8,500 is a lot for an unborn colt. I would not pay more then 1,500 for something unknown, unless I was a very big fan of the parents or a full sibling.
You are looking for a tuff market, when their are so many babies already there. I wouldn't expect anyone to bite until after is it born.
