How Much Is She Worth?

Hello! So, I'm thinking about buying a horse that boards here. Her owner has some financial problems, and can't care for a horse. She wants the best for her mare, though, so I stepped in and offered to help. As much as the owner would like to simply give the horse to me, I want to give her a fair price, so I came here to see what you all thought.

Name: Prada
Breed: Unknown (Any guesses?)
Sex: Mare
Color: Buckskin
Age: 6 years
Stands for grooming and bathing
Picks up feet for farrier
Stands for vaccinations
Is currently up-to-date with shots, generally healthy horse
Ground work:
Backs for trailer
Follows on lead rope
Bridles easily
Nips when being saddled (is ridden in Western)
Walks, trots, canters (gallops if she gets too excited, doesn't trot well)
Can't use flying lead changes -- always on left lead
Sharp turns, like that of a barrel racer (Ooh-la-la!)
Is afraid of jumping/jumps -- I got her over a 1-foot pole, but it took some convincing
Does not stand patiently when being ridden (when at a stop)
Occasional buck when cantering
Nice lead-horse for trails
She also spooks at things that move quickly, water bottles, and small children. Is not face-shy.

How much, is USD, do you think she's worth? I own her saddle and bridle, so please do not add that in the price.

Feel free to pop me a private message for any more information, or with a price -- I'll most likely respond faster!

She does have a few vices, I'd say somewhere in the $500-$800 range.

Yeah, I agree that she isn't that great, but I do love her, and I think training her will be a welcome challenge.

your horse

sounds to me shes got not one bit of good training under her belt no more than 1000 because of abois weight issues, vices, and probably health issues.

I'm not sure how your horse market is, but here I wouldn't pay more then $2,000 for her, since it seems like she has a few vices and not too much training undersaddle. She seems like a great project though!

being that she is grade and has a few riding issues I would say about $800. She needs a few lbs put on her as well. But for the most part she looks like a good mare.

It's not the will to win, but the will to prepare to win that makes the difference.
