    I need some advice

OK well I am very very interested in ownin a horse, but first I want to lease to get a feel for it. I was wonderin if you guys could give me some advice on leasin. Should I go to a ranch and ask if they have any kinda of leasin program? Or should I go to one of my grandma's neighbors (i don't know these people at all) and ask?

I need some advice, and if you could give me some kinda range on the price it is for leasin.

    Thanks,
    Brandon

Is there some sort of local horse journal or place of advertising? If so, often, people and places that lease will have ads there. You could also check the livestock section of the newspaper. Or, you could look into what stables are in your area, and go have a visit or give them a call, telling them you are interested in leasing.

I lease 3 of my horses part time, and I advertise on my website, in our horse-journal, and sometimes on flyers at the feed store. I would check places like that.

You could also check out with your grandma's neighbors, it might end up beneficial to both of you (extra money and riding time for their horses, and you get to ride), but if they are not in the practice of doing so already, they may be hesitant. They would need to have a well written contract detailing responsibilities and privileges for both parties.
