Truthfully, I never thought I would find "the one"
I never actually met Hotrod until the person I bought him from hauled him to my place.. I trust my friend that he wasn't lying to me about his temperment, and things. At first I didn't know if there was going to be any real connection. Until after a week we started to really click. Now he follows me everywhere, and always wants to be with me, but never invades my "bubble". He is very respectful for a year old stud colt that is already 15hh tall. I've also worked with him alot too.

I just take a chance. I don't look for the "love at first sight"
    I take chances :)
If I like the horse, and it is rideable, trainable, and has a good temperment.
    I go for it.

    Good luck though!

Pretty. I agree with Painted Hotrod. It takes a loooooooong time to find the perfect one. I've been looking on and off for around 2 years, leased 2 or 3 horses and none of them worked. I am looking for a show horse and I have been asked to ride one so maybe this 4th horse will be the one. It is a long, drawn out process.

It sure does take a while!!

The horse is going to have to learn to trust you, and know your way of doing things. I've had been searching since I was about 12-13 for a horse I really, really clicked with. I'm now 20 years old, and have Hotrod who never leaves my side, and is the way he is with me, and with no other person.

The horse that i've super duper clicked with is sadly gone. We sent her to be retired at a friends an whne he passed from a blood infection she went to his kids{firmly against my wishes, I wanted her home}. Never saw her again. I tell myself she passed on to the peaceful realm because she was very badly lame and they wanted to teach there 4 year old to ride on her. She taught me to ride and is my angel. Love her and I haven't had the connection I had with her with another.
