Oh and the other one is a bit far from me.
I just wanted to add that the only horse I have ever owned came from the auction, an acquaintance bought her as a 'project horse' and then lost interest. Sold her to me for what she had into her and she became MY project horse. She was sweet - to me - but had 'issues'. The woman I bought her from had originally said that I could keep her on her property for free as long as I paid for food, hay, farrier, etc...then my horse bit her when she tried to THROW her blanket on her and she said I had to get her off the property. I couldn't afford board and still have time to work with her so I couldn't keep her, gave her to a good family. Now I am working with other people's 'project horses' who don't have time for them...I don't mind...but I want MY next horse to be THE ONE. One that I can just get on and ride and don't have to worry about it spooking at a leaf moving and taking off without me or bucking my off because it doesn't want to work because it hasn't been ridden in 3 weeks etc.. (all of which I have dealt with these other people's horses). So I want to be kinda picky and I am not in an incredible rush right now either. I'm not keen on palomino's, but all the other characteristics of that palomino paint seemed right for me so that's why I emailed on it.
Keep 'em coming though, I like to get on here and see what you've found!

You're sure you don't want to travel?

My friend is selling her AQHA mare right now, but she's located in Indiana.
Exactly what you're looking for. She's mainly ridden english, but can be ridden western. I've ridden her myself, and she's a wonderful horse. Her price is $5000, but I'm sure I could get her to go for less. What she really wants for her is a good home.

I'm still looking...went out to ride a paint horse twice, first time short ride in the arena and he did pretty well. Second time in the arena and then on a short trail. He was very pushy with me the second time in the arena, didn't want to listen etc...then was very spooky on the trail. If the other girl wasn't with me, I don't think he would have gone out alone. In any case, I'm learning and I'm looking more towards someone who will lease me their horse. Basically I just want to ride, and if I can find a reasonable person with a well trained horse that I can enjoy 2x a week...then why pay board, feed, farrier, etc... right? I found someone nearby who has a gorgeous gray gelding, not sure what breed but she sent me a picture, she is willing to let me lease. And also another bay qh mare (also very pretty) who she is trying to sell. She seems to be a very busy person as I have gaps between hearing from her, last email she sent me her number so I called and left a message. Tomorrow is my day off and I'd really like to go out there then...hope she calls!
