Need to find a home for 2 paints (N. TEXAS)

Mister.jpgTwo horses in my "barn" belong to an older couple. They informed me tonight that they no longer want the horses. As much as I would love to keep them I can not. Sooooooo FREE w/references to a good home.

Champ - non registered - paint gelding. (Gelded in July 2011) He has the best disposition and is well mannered. I have been riding him some. He had an injury to his right front cornet band which causes that hoof to flare. With regular farrier visits we have it under control and he hasn't had any problems. He's a big guy and will need a firm hand, but once he knows your the boss he will follow you like a puppy.

Mister - non registered - 10 month old colt. I have been working with him since he was 3 months old. He was not handled until then so can be a bit skittish till he knows you. He is starting to show his "pre stallion" attitude, but loves to get attention.

If you are interested let me know and I can get you more information.

Any help appreciated!

Don't advertise them as giveways or a charming kill buyer will be paying a visit. Freebies also worry potential buyers that there are unsoundness issues, a foul temperment or no training. Find out how much horses at slaughter are going for a price them higher.

The 8 year old Gelding, Champ went to a charming young lady today. She lives on a ranch (I visited) and her reference were good. I think she will be a perfect fit for him.

THe Colt, Mister, left today for his new home. Very sad to see both of them go, but I know both will be happy with thier new owners.
