Very cute and seems very gentle, though hard to tell too much about him from the video

I think you are at an auction. Buying at an auction is pretty different from "adopting", at least typically. Adpted horses are typically already at resuces, have already been quarnatined, and are somewhat "known" quantities. Ie-the possibility of drugging, etc is low, and the rescues usually care about the horse and the home, so try to tell you as much info as they can.
Auction-you are going blind. I think this is a very cute guy. Seems to have been handled. If you have the wherewithall to deal with the "unknown" factors with health, training, etc, then go for it! He sure looks good, and right now some pretty nice hroses are going thru the auction houses.

The place is a rescue that gets the horses from NH action , the horses that I have gotten in the past where always yearlings. This one looking at pictures of his teeth looks to be about 3 ½ to 4 years old. Would need more in the way of ground manners before I would start training. Calling in a vet and farrier ASAP before I would start anything.
Thank you Verona 10616 and frank beans, for your opinions on him this guy is just a little older then used too and never had a Saddlebred before. Will have to read up on the breed before getting him.
There’s just some thing about him that captivates me

I guess I would be cautious, as he is obviously FRESH from the auction-stickers on his butt and all. I would probably ask them to quarantine him, if I didn;t have proper facilties. As far as owning a saddlebred-I have never had one, and I would think it would depend upon what you want to do with him.
Good luck!

Sorry, but again, whereever you were that you looked at this horse-is not a rescue, or at least even a half way good one. I would steer clear of them, personally. I also would not believe everything I hear. My guess is they found another buyer. Someone would have to be pretty much a moron for a "rescue" to ship a horse to slaughter "by mistake", especially when they have an interested party. Yes, it is entirely possible that the kill buyer paid them more than you were offering. Someone is not telling the truth here, IMO.

Completely agree with Franknbeans.

I see this is a horse through Another Chance for Horses, they have a lot of unethical practices, google the words 'AC4H scam' and you will have enough reading to last you an evening or two.

I live close to AC4H's and can put you in contact with some reputable horse traders, if you are interested, send me a pm.

The horse was at AC4H. Its a kill pen that tries to place the useable horses before the ship them to you know where. Its not nice, but at least they try to let them find homes. That's a LOT more care than most kill brokers. I know of horror stories, but I also know of sucess stories with AC4H. Its a gamble. This was a very nice horse, well bred, papered and sweet. He was bailed, but he was mistakenly shipped anyways. A sad story and yea, he needed a rescue.

But yea, go for a saddlebred. They are all I have and are incredible horses! PM me if you are looking for one seriously. I know quite a few that are in good shape and papered. Just need a home....
