I lease and own right now...the thing is, I love my lease horse and wish he were for sale >_<

Leasing is definitely cheaper and less time-consuming than owning, if you can find a co-leaser/owner who you connect with. Loving the horse and not-loving the owner is a hard situation to be in.

I only take lessons right now, I wish I could own my own horse or even lease, but my mom was hurt on horses so she's afraid of them so she won't drive me out more than once a week. My dad works out of town during the week so theirs no way for me to get out there
I just read my driving book, I'm going to take the test but it takes a year before I can drive myself but that's okay a year is better than never!
But its almost winter and my dad will be in town so I'm hoping I can lease

I've been riding "other people's" horses all my life and having my own horses right now is HEAVEN!! I woudn't want it any other way...

But on the other hand, better lease one then be without them I say!

If I had more money I would definitely own a horse - I lease at the moment.

Having a horse in your life is a gift, wether you own lease or just admire from afar. There is no other creature that gives so much and asks for so little. We own 4 horses, 2 mares and their foals from 2006 that we have decided to keep. I love being able to just walk outside to kiss noses and scratch butts. Nothing will make the worries of the world drop away more than spending time with my horses.

I own a horse (Magic) but I also take lessons on my trainer's horse (maybe I will buy her if I like her enough and I am trying to work out a lease to buy deal)

I used to ride @ a school until I bought Magic!

I <3 you Magic!

I own 4, but half lease out 2 (trying for 3) of them and use them for lessons as well. I love having them around for each other and my company, but they can get pricey! I also like leasing them out because I don't have to break my back trying to ride all 4 consistantly (just 1). :)
