Horse needs good, experienced owner who can keep him in a consistent schedule, because that's what he does best with. Rides best under western or bareback when his bad habits are in check. I haven't been able to give him what he needs. Now he's beyond my training experience and needs rehomed. He's somewhere around 10-15 years according to vet. About 15.2 hands. Has good potential for anyone who is willing to give him TLC.

His name is Butterscotch and he's got a profile here. If you want more pictures/details, message me or contact me by email.

Hmm. Well, you list him in your profile as 9 yrs, 7 mo, but now he is somewhere in his teens per the vet? You also say in the profile you hope to keep him forever, so what exactly are his bad habits that are "beyond your training ability"...and what ability is that exactly.

Signature undergoing edits. Please standby.......

His bad habits include being pushy and bucking when he doesn't get his way. He's very buddy sour. Today, he bucked on the lead and gave me a really severe rope burn. He's not an impossible horse, I'm just not experienced enough to train him and I'm not mentally stable enough yet to even try fixing things. His issues are ultimately my fault, so I'll own up to it. He's a sweety otherwise. Just needs... Well, more than I have to offer. I'm in no rush to ship him off to a new owner, so I'll be making sure prospective buyers know what they're getting.

Edit: If I had it my way, he would have stayed forever. But I suffer from some mental illnesses that I relapsed into. Because of that, our consistency became entirely nonexistent. I can't give him his training needs, so I'm doing what is best for HIM. Sorry if that "stinks" in your perspective but I don't appreciate your assumptions.

Gonna double post here hah.

My experience level by my own perspective is intermediate. I'm not a total novice by any means, but I'm also not anywhere near being a "pro." I don't show, I just do horses because they're what I love and I like having horses in my life.

I intend to be completely up front with anyone interested in Butterscotch. I care deeply for this horse, so I'm going to take my time in finding him an appropriate home with someone who is serious about owning him. In the mean time, I will taking care of his feet and getting his vet stuff done as I have planned. This includes teeth work and a full body check by a vet. His last Coggin's test was November 2012 (I think?) and he received all his shots at that time. I'll be getting everything up to date. I will happily provide a phone number to his vet for proof of all of this if necessary.

Please ask questions. I want to be open and honest so he gets what he needs. I'm not interested just getting cash for him. I want him to live his life in a healthy, proper way. I just can't right now. I am not mentally fit for it.

So again, ask me questions. Here or privately, I do not mind either way.

Thank you all for your time and consideration.
