Wish I could help..unfortunately there will never be an end to the number of horses desperately seeking a home. :(

If I were closer I'd come get one, but that's a far piece from Louisiana.

I tried to convince my mom to get another horse, she almost went for it, then I told her where it was... and... well it's a little far seeing as we are in Az. Glad to hear that most have found homes.

" Page last updated July 24, 9:30am, 2010. WE HAVE DONE IT!!! NO HORSES ARE GOING TO SLAUGHTER!! Thank you to all who have come with open hearts to rescue horses in need. "

Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires courage.

Shmurmer4- that message put a HUGE smile on my face! I am thrilled to hear that those gorgeous horses have all found homes, where they will be able to show what they are made of. Who knows, maybe we'll see one of those horses in a couple years competing at Rolex or something, you never know.

Just wanted to add that there are still 6 or so horses that could use homes!! NON are going to slaughter, even if these last ones don't sell, because a racetracker has stepped up and said they would foot the bill for New Stride to accommodate the TB's that do not find homes come monday.

SO, if you are still on the fence about checking one or two out.....go have a peek as there are still a few beautiful horses left!

Here is a link to the horses left:
