Pony/Walker Cross - VA

"Ranger" is a handsome and equally cute 12 year old gelding. He's up to date on his shots, coggins, and had his teeth done mid-summer. Ranger is around 14.0hh/14.1hh.

$1,800

This boy can tuck his knees over fences, isn't smooth in his jumping transitions for as far as I know I'm the only one whose lunged him over jumps. However, he tucked his knees nicely and has natural ability and scope.

We believe he is a Tennessee Walker Cross as he will gait more predominately between the trot and canter.

Ranger has no health issues or lameness issues. He's low man on the pecking order and tends to get along great with anyone we put him in. Perfectly content in a pasture or a dry lot, was kept in a stall by his prior owner in inclement weather. Picks up all four hooves beautifully, our farrier loves him (Reference available) and does well for the vet. Requires a soft to neutral rider, Ranger cannot be manhandled or treated ruggedly. He shows harmless tendency's of being manhandled.

Appropriate for a well started beginner to leadline pony. Very cute! Has great manners, he is an "in your pocket" kind of horse if you allow it. That being said, he isn't routinely given treats. Was purchased for my mother, however, unexpected life events in the family forces sale.

I really like the little tyke, but I weigh more than he can comfortably handle otherwise I think my hubby and I would've taken him on.

Located in Fredericksburg, Virginia - Serious inquiries only, no trades, please.

Adding a link to a video.

Price negotiable to right home. Has been out of work for the last several months.

Ranger knows the basics in riding, pretty aware to leg, seat, and soft hands. A good horse just to have fun on... If I were smaller height/weight he'd be a blast to keep.

We did put a stick to him, he's 14.2hh.
