Hey guys its me!!!
I might be getting a horse, I dont know yet, My Companion Animal Science Teacher is looking to give away her BLM mustang, She is either 4 years old or my teacher has had her for 4 years and has been ridden but needs lots of ground work because my teacher has not been able to do anything with her because of her health the past year. She is cute, not my DREAM color but she is white with a jet black head, black mane and tail, black legs and a black dorsel stripe. The barn owner I am sure would give me a discount (she is giving one to my friend because we both work there) I need to talk to her. I am currently earning around 250-300 a month at the grocery store. I have been riding for 4 years and I trained Microburst myself. (baka, he is in the image gallery.) What do you guys think, the only problem I can think of is farrier ( i dont know if the horse is bare foot or not....and Then whenever She would colic or get sick I would have to call the vet and pay those bills too.) I could probably babysit for our farrier in order to get her feet done..(Done that before.) and I know that its around 25-30$ to pay for bare feet (I would at least start putting her on bare feet to lower the price (she is mustang and the mustangs that I know are bare foot).
What do you guys think? Do you think I am ready for my first horse?
