If he is, it isn't enough to actually cause much problem. He might have problems sleeping standing up but it shouldn't affect how he rides at all. I have seen a lot of horses that are a lot worse off than him as far as leg conformation that stayed sound for their whole lives under heavy use.

As far as him being a little over the knee, will it affect riding at all? I wouldn't want to ride him and make him have joint or leg problems later on.
Might just be the picture... I suck at judging angles -_- ;] I am a sucker for big draft types with poofy wavy manes, so naturally I'm leaning towards the chestnut. Don't let my personal taste sway you, of course :P

PS, the horse in your avatar is gawjussss. That blue eye is stunning.

Thank you so much. That's my blue-eyed wonder. Lol Both of his eyes are that color. I was so thrilled when they stayed. (:

Well, his current owner said both his parents were mild mustangs, so I really have nothing else to go on. Mustangs can be a number of different breeds, considering so many breeds bred with wild horses and made new ones.

MAny mustangs ARE crosses. IT it used to be common for ranchers to turn young stallions out with a local herd to see how well they bred. There was a herd where a rancher put his young drafts out with them. AS a result, I knew someone who got a massive black drft mustang that became a grand prix dressage horse. I am on a tablet so can't post his photo, but google JB Andrew, dressage horse. HE was almost 18 hands and definitely draft.
