Potential Plus - Thoroughbred Mare - Busselton, Western Australia, AUS

Regretfully offered for sale as I am getting out of horses. Heartbreaking sale to good home and experienced rider only as she IS only young.

2close2dasun aka Magic is a rising 4 year old Thoroughbred filly with boundless potential for any discipline. She loads easily onto the float [nearly self-loads] and travels beautifully, is easy to catch, worm, trim [totally barefoot, great feet] and rug, and is generally just a pleasure to have around.

She is NOT easy to give injections to and needs to be twitched but this is her only vice.

Has not been clipped, hasn't needed it. Keeps a nice short sleek coat year-round when rugged. Is in fuzzy feral paddock condition as she has been out of work due to non-horse-related rider injury. My knee just isn't coming good and she's too good of a horse to be wasted on me.

DOES have an undiagnosed metabolic disorder causing lameness when on certain feeds but this is easily managed. Is currently on a hay roll in a large paddock with 2 other horses and is holding weight slightly on the lean side. White chaff and rice bran gets the best results.

Has been to one show where she carried me to third in the 18 and over rider class and was absolutely impeccably behaved. Nothing phases her.

NOT FOR SALE TO NOVICE RIDERS as she is still young and green and while quiet, IS sensitive. Magic is an absolutely wonderful horse and has been my ideal mount since the first time she ever carried a rider, with no buck/bolt/rear to speak of. She has never offered to bite or kick and though I am a nervous intermediate rider I have never felt anything but safe on her back - even while I was breaking her in!

Magic would be a wonderful first young horse for a capable pony clubber with tact and feel - and good hands - or alternatively the ideal unofficial show hack, dressage horse, showjumper or eventer. She has already been trained for water and goes in and out without hesitation in all gaits. I intended to start her over fences in October but unfortunately I don't think I'll be jumping again and I just don't have the passion for flatwork and trail riding.

Asking $1500 negotiable, all gear included. Teeth, drenching and farrier up to date. Worming and vaccinations can be done prior to her leaving. Sorry, no payment plans. A 2 week trial on the property can be arranged - horse is located in Busselton, WA, Australia.

She's a pretty girl; if only I could stand mares..../and/ you weren't in Australia xD

Good luck on your sale!

The sensitivity of the internet baffles me.

Thank you! She really is a pleasure to have around and such a nice ride. I'm a nervous rider and she's been the horse I need. She isn't marish at all. She has her opinionated moments but for the right person she'll do anything, regardless of whether she's in season or not.

She's absolutely wonderful and if I had the money [and could justify holding her back like I am] she wouldn't be going anywhere. But she's a great horse and she thrives on having a job, and sitting in the paddock 99.9% of the time simply isn't fair on her.
