Wow the only horse that we could sell like that was my old horse, and he was VERY broke with color. He could trail ride and show. I had to sell him for $1500. Where are you?

I have to say that the prices of horses in FL has not dropped. Not from what I can see anyway!

the horse world is in trouble, people are breeding too many horses with no purpose, the economy is doing terribly so a lot of people can't afford to feed and house horses, and all... ugh.

def agree. but overbreeding started happening before the market took a down turn, so to adjust for lack of demand they sell for even less. hopefully things will even out a little. when you go to auctions you see things multiply, because most people always sell and buy for less there. its kind of like the worst case scenario market. the best thing you can do to help the market is to not buy more horses than you need/ can afford. if people think there is a demand they will always try to supply more.
