Unhappy Probably going to sell my boy

He is a 22 yr. AQHA gelding. I'm working on getting his registration updated as his old owners didn't keep it up. He doesn't look his age and is stocky. He's 15.2hh and a red sorrel color. He's a cutie and loves attention. He trails nice and he gets along with most everyone. He tacks up pretty easily, mounts, dismounts, rides with others good. He does great with kids and has had lessons with kids. He used to show years ago in english and western, but he wasn't kept up in the showing, but I've taken him once to a show and did perfect. He loves going places and remembers shows. He is laid back so he needs a rider that has some experience to work with him on going forward and to work on picking up his feet. He does good for the vet and farrier. I ride him every week. He also needs someone that's confident in handling him as he has some rushing feeding time. He's safe, but you have to be firm when you're turning him outside and has food out. He's the same in the stall sometimes (not always) but once you're firm and you're just going to stand there until he relaxes, then he'll be fine. He is mainly ridden western, but could get back into english but will need work. He is fine with boots too. Pictures on request at this time. He is a little bit back sore but isn't a problem under saddle. He doesn't act up or anything and we've had the vet check him out and he's fine. But, you might need to give him a joint shot or give him bute regularly to help him out.
    I'm thinking on $750-850 obo.

An aged horse with a sore back, who is food aggressive, and who requires an experienced rider as well as joint injections, isn't worth $800. You'll be lucky to give him away.

I wouldn't say he's food aggressive. He just rushes sometimes. But thank you for the suggestion of lowering the price and possibly free. I guess I could just charge for the boarding of that month etc.
