Questions about selling our mare

Lexie is an awesome horse just too much for my kids at this point. We can only have two horses where we are and we need two that my kids can learn on.

I am wondering what would be a good asking price and how to advertise her.

This is her pedigree: West Bound Lexus Paint

She is registered Paint (bay Tobiano), 8 years old, never been bred, awesome pedigree. Made for speed. Every horse on her papers has raced.

She was started 3 times but no wins. She was then trained for barrel racing. I have no idea what or if she won there. I would love if there was someone who could look up that info on the database.

She has excellent ground manners. Loads, stands for farrier, bathes, you name it. Dead broke, will do flying lead changes, sidepass, neckreins, not herd bound, awesome head set.

She needs an experienced rider who knows how to use her buttons. She is like driving a Ferrari.

And on top of all of that, she is gorgeous!

Well first off find out what the average price is in your area.

Here are prices seem low.

I would sell her for $900- $1000
She has a good body, nice face, muscle in her front..needs some in the back but could be the picture),stocky build and a good height. Her manners seem excellent.

If she has any bad vices let ppl know though.

In my area, probably around $1000-1500. $2000 would be the highest...but usually paints and mare on top of that cuts the price. Not sure why, since I don't mind mares, but alot of folks do. So I'd guess $1500 tops.

If you are not in a rush to sell her and can wait patiently for the right buyer, around here she would go for around $3500, more if she has a good performance record.

I wish I knew her performance record!

Does anyone belong to the APHA that could check?
