For Sale - 5 Year Old Paint Gelding

Jax is a wonderful horse that we bought as a weanling, for a future stud, but we decided to geld him instead. We now need to focus on our mares and cut back on the geldings, so we have decided to let Jax find a nice home. He has had 30+ days of professional training in 2010 and was ridden quite a bit after he came back from the trainers. He will need a refresher this spring. He has a wonderful personality and loves attention. He would make a good 4H project and certainly would excel in Western Pleasure. His 1/2 brother is APHA Huslers Deck of Stars, who is a high point Western Pleasure horse (retired from showing due to an injury, but still standing at stud). Jax was purchased as a weanling for much more than what we are asking for him. Our loss is your gain. He looks almost black in the winter and lightens to a dark bay in the spring. He also has a belly spot, besides the 3 white socks and pretty white face w/blue eyes. $750/firm Email me at coldwindfarm@gmail.com

Just out of curiosity, how come you aren't a fan of riding paints?

Are paints a breed and not a color? I have heard paints can sometimes be high strung, but I haven't met one yet.
This horse is lovely. I wish I lived closer. At that price I wouldn't even think twice about buying him. I am sure he will sell in a flash. Good Luck and I hope he finds a great home :)

also please don't think i don't like your horse but i'm no paint lover. But very nice markings. Like i say i'd buy but can't.

also the colors not the reason its the breed. well not really even the bred it's just my bad streak of paint horses i've been on.

LOL, I've had bad experience with paints. I know there not all the same and this one looks like a winner. If i would have already sold my horse Thunder i'd buy this horse but i've still got him also he's kinda far for me. But the first paint I've ever rode was not trained properly and didn't know much and her age was unknown but she was in her teens, the second one's my step dads paint is a one man horse and i kinda firgured that out after he bucked me off and then my step dad rode him fine. the third was lazy. You got one him he wouldn't go you could do anything to him. but once he heard those spurs he wouldn't stop. That's my experience with paints. For me to get on another one it has to be dead broke.

I've answered the question now lets keep this thread about that pretty black paint she's trying to sale. Sorry i can't buy him. Hope you find a good home and if you want to pm me i'll give you some other websites you can put him on.
