Selling my Rescue): of 3am this morning, I'm forced to sell my baby girl because I'm being kicked out of my house.. :/
I'll be better off on my own than living with my mother, but it absolutely devastates me knowing I put so much into this horse and planning on being her forever home, and now I can't.

I honestly don't know how I'm going to do it.

Just tell me I'll find another that's just a special when I get back on my feet again financially. Right? I hope so, this mare means soo much to me. ):

Everything happens for a reason.

When I gave up Dubai after his Xray results, I knew I was doing it because my trainer can give him a much better home than I currently can.

Time and place for everything. Horses will always be in my blood, hence the two loans I have, but right now is not the time and place for me to have one.

Finding somewhere to board the horse or someone to lease it for awhile until you get on your feet are not options?

I have her boarded, but I can't afford that bill on top of an apartment.
And I've tried leasing her out..No one around here wants to lease a trail horse. I planned on restarting her and showing her this winter and leasing to a show/4h kid next year, but I can only put 30 days on with 30 days available, lol.

Yes, you will find another special horse. There is always one that needs help and your love . Get yourself back on your feet first, then you can start looking around.

I am sorry to hear this, unfortantly I have been through this with a rescue horse as well. I was working full time at 15 years old and my parents split. I was helping pay for board but we just couldn't afford it for 2 horses after that.
With the rescue we adopted from, the written agreement stated were not allowed to sell the horse. We had put about $8,000 worth of professional training into him and had to give him away.

Maybe if you end up selling your horse you can have some sort of a "buy back clause" ? Basically if the new owner decides to sell the horse, can't keep it anymore, etc you have "first dibs" to buy him back?

See, mine wasn't a technical rescue..But I fully believe I rescued her.
I plan to ask for first right of refusal, but that only gets me so far since I can't legally do anything about it.

Nobody would do a free lease on her?

I've already asked just about everyone I know. :/
I have one person left to ask, and I'm not sure how I'd feel about them even having her at all.
